TAGG moves to the -Shannon Cultural Arts Center
The Art Group Gallery is moving August 1, 2010 to a beautiful old building on the south end of Mt. Jackson, 5998 Main Street, Mt. Jackson. (Route 11). The building is the Bowman-Shannon Cultural Arts Center and TAGG has the first two floors as gallery space and the whole basement, for educational programs. This beautiful building is in the National Historic Register and is worth a look on its own merits.
It is going to be an exciting month at CAC because the first, First Friday will be August 6, and the grand opening is August 7, 2010 with musical entertainment and food from 10 AM to 8 PM. Michael's quartet Blarney Brothers is singing at noon, just before the official ceremoney to open the building. If you are able to drop by to hear him sing, that would be great. Otherwise, any time between 10 AM and 8 PM will work.
My work will be on display as the featured artist, in the TAG Gallery, from August 1 - August 31, 2010. My reception will be on Sunday, August 14, 2010 from 2 - 4 PM. If you are free, stop by anytime to see my new work and especially on First Friday, on Saturday for the grand opening and on Sunday for my reception when we will have homemade desserts, served for your pleasure in the grand old kitchen.
